The Inspiration for Sustainable Growth

The theme sustainable growth is relevant to the current time as people appear to be crashing under the demands of changing external circumstances (system changes).

I notice great emotional turmoil in parts of the world today. Some of this turmoil could be the result of an expectation and a mental conditioning of getting things quicker and easier – quick support, quick money, quick everything.

It appears that many have started to discount the process that is required for acquiring things; so when the demand for effort exists, people seem to crumble.

The sustainable process is not necessarily hard in contrast to what appears to be common practice (it is usually easier). It just keeps a long-term view in mind, and in so doing, makes it easier for individuals to make lasting changes. It becomes easier for people to think in a way that helps them to align their action with their vision – in a way that feels most efficient and natural to them.

Many of us stay in what is commonly called survival mode for years because we are acting out of alignment with what we truly want. Though time is required for learning and resource acquirement, the sustainable process is usually simple. It requires great internal change; but there is less external cycling.

With the sustainable process, it sometimes takes a bit longer for one to get external results; but when the results surface, it is usually more lasting. The main contributor to sustainable growth is inner change. I will write on inner change in a follow-up article.
